David has the distinction of being the only athlete from any of the 71 competing nations, in any sport, to ever win 5 Commonwealth Games. This feat has involved being at the top of his sport for over 20 years, and a tremendous amount of dedication and consistency. He has competed in 3 Olympic Games and 6 Commonwealth Games and numerous World, European and Master’s competitions.
At present he is World Masters Champion and holds 5 World Records.

As well as competing and running a personal training centre in Cambridge, David also works for Eurosport commentating on the World and European Weightlifting Championships, as well as the Olympic Games.
David has been trained in Sports Psychology, Physiology, Biomechanics, Nutrition and many forms of exercise, and now works as a personal trainer.
Over David’s 25 year career he has trained top professional athletes, sports teams and people who want to lose body fat, or just want to be fit for life. He also provides specialist training for television and film professionals requiring fast results for TV and Film work.
